Sometime last fall, life got busy and I completely forgot about my love of photography, and as a result I forgot about Deviant Art as well.  I don't know what exactly happened, but I lost my way a little.  I would occasionally find myself thinking that something was missing from life.  Don't think life wasn't treating me well though.  I have an amazing family and love my job, but I really missed the creative process that accompanies photography.  

Anyway, I finally went out last week on a hike and did some photography for the first time since about last September.  It felt great to be behind the lens again and it has renewed the spark that had fizzled out so many months ago.  Now I'm back to DA as well, and trying to figure out how to sort through the massive amount of stuff in my message center (~11K messages).  It's going to be a long night...

I want to apologize to those who have commented on my work or sent notes that went unrecognized.  I am very appreciative of all the support I have received from the community here over the years.  It has helped to motivate and inspire me to become better, and I'm sure it will continue to do so for a long time to come.
