I found this in a little alleyway.
Isn't it interesting how much care people take of things until the object's usefulness comes to an end? Then the objects are just casually tossed aside without a second thought as to the outcome. There are even those who have this same attitude in regard to other people. They don't care who or what gets left behind and trampled by the passing crowd, but only about themselves and their selfish desires.
Don't be one of them.

Although I definitely agree with the intended message/sentiment, what also struck me about your composition was the fact that it's a crumpled pack of Marlboro Light 100's.
It kind of adds a bit of a twist to your thought -- "Isn't it interesting how much care people take of things until the object's usefulness comes to an end?" -- given that the "objects" in this case were the person's lungs.
Also gives another level to the title, "Discarded and Dying".
